Your city mayor
Mayor of St Asaph – Colin Hardie
I was born and educated on Merseyside and have lived and worked in several different parts of the UK before settling in St Asaph nearly 25 years ago. My wife, Gwenda and I have 3 grown up children and 3 grandchildren.
I have now retired from my lifelong career of working in Local Government and have been a City Councillor since 2013. I was Deputy Mayor for 12 months before I became Mayor in 2016.
This small city is a wonderful place to live, having the smallest yet beautiful cathedral together with lovely riverside walks, both of which attract visitors from far and wide. It is my aim to spread the word of St Asaph as far as possible so that more and more visitors might be interested in coming to our wonderful city as I believe that attracting more visitors and residents would greatly improve the commercial potential for local businesses.
Deputy Mayor – Councillor Rosalind Williams
I was born in St Asaph and moved to live in our wonderful city a few years ago. I am married to Iolo and we have three children who are all involved in groups and clubs in the city. I also work in the city for the Diocese of St Asaph, where I am employed as Director of Education and Lifelong Learning.
I am very honoured to be your deputy mayor and will work closely with the Mayor and other councillors to promote and develop the City of St Asaph.
